Trying to catch up

A few fun things we've done over the last few months... Lydia turned 6!
We took a little trip to Nauvoo with Grandma Salmon and Cathy.  Loved staying in a little cabin.

Voice Impressions

Here is a quick one of Lydia doing a voice impression.  See if you can guess who it is supposed to be.

Birthday party

Hyrum and Joseph turned one year old! To celebrate we made a water bag like we did a couple of years ago for Lydia's birthday.  In the morning the kids had the sprinkler on and the top of the bag was pretty wet.  We let it dry off in the afternoon so that Hyrum and Joseph were able to play on it without getting wet.

Long Distance Happy Father's Day

We all want to wish a very Happy Father's Day to Grandpa Cook (Dad) and Grandpa Salmon (Dad)! Since we don't get to see you in person very often, we thought you  might like to see the kids via pictures.

Also, a very special Happy Father's day to a great dad!  We love you Scott, thanks for being so amazing.  (David gave Scott a "back scratcher shirt" with a town drawn on it, the kids can drive their cars around town while giving Scott a massage)
Lydia is yelling in the background, "photo bomb!"

Photo shoot- overload of pics for Grandparents

I tried to surprise Scott for his birthday (no you haven't missed it, it's next week so don't forget) with a picture of all five kids.  After weeks of planning, getting new clothes, and an hour of prep before the photo shoot getting kids fed, dressed, hair combed, etc.  it was a complete failure.  I took the kids to the mall by myself and the babies for some reason did not like the place.  They screamed and cried and were acting so scared of everything.  This is the point where I'm thinking that we shouldn't have stayed home so much this winter.  To add to the chaos, Nathan kept running out of the studio to the exit doors or into the department store.  After half an hour of chasing him and trying to calm the babies down long enough to take at least ONE photo, I gave up.  We loaded back up in the van and came home.  So, the next day we had our own photo shoot at home, with Scott's help.  Hyrum and Joseph still weren't very cooperative and neither were some other kids we know, but we were able to snap a few photos with at least some of the kids smiling.  Some pics were taken a week or two ago but most are from last weekend.  So, if any of you want pictures of our children, this is how you will have to enjoy them.

Family Photo

This is our attempt at a family photo, a very rare occasion.  Half of us in Sunday best and the other half in Pj's, great combo for family pictures right?
