Here is a random picture of the back of Scott's shirt that David turned into a piece of art. It is a funny story but all I will say is that David found a pen and still needs to learn to sit still during family prayer. And Scott needs to learn to better recognize what it feels like to have someone draw on his back.
Two weeks ago I was called as the Primary President. Last Sunday the power was out at the church and we ended up only having Sacrament Meeting so I haven't officially begun yet, I guess Heavenly Father knew I needed a little bit more time to try to get organized.
Even more than making his own music, David loves to listen to the music of others so that he can dance. Last weekend we went to the Chicago Blues Festival. David loved it. He couldn't help but dance and found it to be a great way to impress the ladies.
Sheesh, that woman in blue followed us around everywhere! Just kidding, David's lady friend is actually one of Sue Ann's good friends that we were showing around Chicago. It was great to have her visit. Having said that, David actually did attract a lot of people by his dancing (you may have been able to hear them laughing in the video just above). Anyway, one final example to show that David simply can't help himself from bouncing to the beat, even when he is being restrained.
It was a gorgeous day outside but really windy so we didn't hang around too long. But that was okay because our camera battery died so we weren't able to get many pictures anyway. We at least we able to watch a local fisherman gathering lobsters from his traps.
We still all enjoyed the trip, even though it was short.
As an aside, we got a recent comment on our blog that we were staying true to the Ringo Star Chowder Bowl hairstyle that runs in the family (on David's paternal side). Alas, to my much chagrin, because the weather is getting much hotter, we decided to shave David's hair. We never got a very good picture after the fact but I think you will be able to tell the difference from the pictures below.
David looks like he did when he was 6 months old again, just a little bigger. Anyway, it turns out David does not approve of his new hairstyle either and always tries to cover it with whatever he can, including his own pants. . . .
Eva was always helpful and a good playmate for David
Lauryn was a big help too with her happy smile.
Enoch . . . well . . . Enoch was always moving so this was one of the few shots I got of him before he ran off the picture.
Reina tried to fit in with David by doing manly things like spending a day in the shop organizing tools . . .
. . . or lounging around telling jokes while pretending to chew on a cigar.
Just kidding, Reina is so cute it didn't take much at all for her and David to get along just fine.
