Someday's parenthood is just like I dreamed it'd be. This morning David went grocery shopping with me. While driving in the van, I told him we should make him some new Sunday pants. He was quiet for a minute and then said, "Mom, you're the best mom I've ever had. You make me the best food, make me the best clothes, and make me the best toys".
Lately he has also been telling me and Lydia everyday that we look pretty or beautiful. I told him that was nice of him to say and he said, 'I'm just trying to keep the girls happy".

Birthday Boy
There isn't a specific reason we made a turtle cake, maybe because Nathan crawls around like a turtle all day (except much faster). David and Lydia helped with the games and we made a Franklin the Turtle pinata out of a paper bag. I loved having our little family together for the party. I didn't have to worry about having everything perfect, our house cleaned spotless, and it didn't matter that at least two drinks were spilt during dinner. We just had fun making Nathan smile and letting him know that we love him!

Baby talk
Nathan can make two sounds, "mama" when he's tired or hungry, and "tickle, tickle, tickle" when he's playing. It's hard to catch him on video because he just wants to play with the camera. He turns one in a week, he is so easy going and fun to be around. We love him!
