Our costumes this year were completely unrelated, some have been in the works since last year and one was last minute, all had a different level of effort put in to them but we had fun dressing up. Our ward trunk-or-treat was fun also. Scott's "kick me" sign on his back brought him some unwanted attention but other than that the afternoon was a success.
I found the idea of a beehive off of Martha Stewart, I think you need longer hair than I have but it was a good way to draw attention away from my stomach...
at least I hoped it would.

Here is our Captain David, we've been working on his costume for weeks and kept adding things for fun. His favorite part was his sword of course.
I made some cupcakes for a friend, the brain was our favorite to look at but didn't look too appetizing.
