Chicago Here We Come!!!

After much deliberation and continual struggle with the difficult task of deciding where to go for law school we have finally decided. After going through all of the major methods of making such an important decision (such as weighing the pros and cons, flipping a coin, or studying it out in our minds) we ended up simply playing a match of rock, paper, scissors and so it looks like we will be going to Chicago! Scott will be attending school at the Illinois Institute of Technology at the Chicago-Kent College of Law. David was pretty excited when he heard that we were going to Chicago and still keeps his smile on whenever he thinks about it.

In other news, we continue to try and give Little David some tummy time. He does not approve of the idea at all so he has gone straight to holding his head up, this way he can look around at all the exciting things going on at home (not that there's too much of anything going on, but everything is new and exciting for babies, in fact he will spend extended amounts of time intently staring at the ceiling, a blank wall, the couch armrest, or anything else that just happens to be in his immediate field of view).

We are trying to tell if David has gained enough weight, but there are varying perspectives on that subject as it all depends on how you look at him...

Also, in his spare time David has taken up flying..

David's Fashion Sense

As David grows he is beginning to develop personality and his own sense of style. Some of his favorite clothing attire is shown below. Firstly, is his yellow jumpsuit (compliments of Aunt Joanne) which he uses primarily to loaf around on the couch and perform most of his day to day activities.

The next outfit in David's wardrobe was provided by Aunt Kjerstina and Uncle Jay. He particularly loves this onesie because of the fast pace life of New York city. David was born for life in the fast lane (this is obvious when you look at how fast he moves his arms). Upon seeing the picture, however, David commented on a downside to the outfit in that it makes him look fatter than he actually is.

Beyond the usual garb worn each day, David has now begun to accessorize. His first, and favorite accessory are his sunglasses (compliments of Cathy). He loves these so much because they go with almost any outfit and by wearing them his parents can't tell whether he is sleeping or awake. As he has grown accustomed to the glasses he has gotten more comfortable with them and now feels that they are really the only thing he needs to wear at all as shown in the second photo below when he took some time off to catch a few rays.

David the Traveller

Well, David went on his first big trip recently, all the way down to Moroni, Utah! He still has never left the state, but come to think of it, neither have we for nearly eight months. On this trip he was able to see many of his cousins for the first time.

It would appear that David was received very warmly. In fact, his cousin Chantel was so excited to see him we think she forgot to do her hair that morning. (Fortunately, however, we are quite sure that David didn't noticed)

David enjoyed his time so much that he said he wants to return again soon. What is more, is that he is excited to meet the rest of his cousins that he does not yet know. Hopefully we can make him happy in this regard before too long.
